Green Roof Protection and Separation Felt

Our felt fabrics are produced from 100% recycled fibers, affordable with high performance for the Green Roof industry. BIT offers two styles:

Protective felt fabrics: used for cushioning waterproofing membranes. 8oz. or 12 oz. felts are used as an underlayment for other protective layers such as drainage panels. 16 oz. felts are used when gravel or soil will be placed on top.

Separation felt fabrics: Our felts have good permittivity, allowing for free water flow. The low tensile strength allows roots to readily penetrate. This felt style is also used to facilitate the distribution and storage of water within the root zone.
